It wrecks lives, you just cannot give IQ tests to mentally unwell patients. The best analogy is telling someone to run a race with a broken ankle. Please help stop this abuse.

It would be a shame to knock this historic building which has a great social history. This building was an integral part of the Market Square with everything being weighed there corn , potatoes and even the goose or turkey at Christmas. The shelter was done up in the early nineties under an urban renewal scheme. This shelter is being used everyday by local people to sit and rest in and for people waiting for the community bus. If this development was to be replaced with it's an open air development. It would be open to all the elements. This would be better suited to a warmer climate not where it rains two hundred and fifty days a year. The shelter should be left there. Save The Shelter.

This is an important issue for all to remove inequality for those with a disability when accessing public transport. Unequal access to transport limits a person greatly as transport can unlock a range of opportunities for an individual with it allowing ease of access to necessities in life such as education and employment. Irish Rail is failing to provide adequate accessible transport for all, with people with a disability facing many barriers when using train services. These include: • 4 hour notice required to Irish Rail for those who need assistance getting on and off a train; • Reliance on staff being present for use of a manual ramp to allow a passenger who needs assistance to get on and off the train; • Lifts being left broken in train stations for long periods of time; • Visual and sound aids on board not working. Other issues which were highlighted from respondents in a study mentioned in 'Transport Access For All 2012' include: • More space for wheelchair users and better toilets on board; • Automatic ramps so wheelchair users could board independently; • A pass in place of tickets for disabled people because it can be difficult standing in queues. • Signposting of wheelchair accessible routes. Improvements need to be made to allow ease of access for people with a disability. We need to lobby and have support from the public in order for these improvements to come into action. The needs of the disabled should not be over looked when considering transport and they need to be met by the Minister of Transport, Irish Rail and relating bodies. Inaccessible transport for those with a disability widens the gap of inequality in our Irish society. The current infrastructure in place for Irish Rail does not match up to the modern technology available in our world today. 4 hours notice and unreliable lifts need to be a thing of past. Improvements need to happen and need to happen now.

It is important for the health and well being of the children in the area. We have a substantial amount of children under the age of eighteen in Kinsealy Court especially between the age's of 2-16yrs and the park has plenty of room to facilitate one. It will also help with keeping the children from playing on the road so much as there is a large volume of kids that play on the road on a daily basis. The closest playground to the estate is Holywell which is not an option as it's too far for the children to travel to.

The plant can not sustain our use of plastic. Plastic is a by product of fossil fuel which is not renewable. Our oceans are polluted by millions of tons of plastic which are nit recycled properly. With bin charges goin up on the general public more and more plastic waste is finding its way to landfill and the seas. In order for our planet to survive we must return to the use of glass bottles..

Its important because anxiety and depression can affect one in 6 people. As one of them I want to be able to contribute positively to society. I want to be able to be able to work. I want to be able to work with an organisation where having anxiety does not mean I live in fear of loosing my job if my employer finds out. Or be discriminated from promotions or progressing in an organisation if they know I have anxiety. I want to fulfil my potential and be treated with dignity not with misunderstanding or stigma.

There are a significant amount of houses and businesses which would benefit from this simple bus route extension, approximately 1000 citizens and 3 major retail outlets. Housing Estates In Foxwood, there are 80 houses with 200 more planned. In Carrig An Aird there are 88 houses. With an average of 3 people per house, this is around 864 people who could avail of this service. Businesses The Range, Musgraves and Tesco have large retail outlets at this location. They would certainly benefit from having a bus route nearby. Future Planning There is a nursing home planned near the site of the Musgrave Business Park, which will likely house up to 250 older citizens. This will improved provide transport options for up to 1000 residents directly, and access to 3 major retail outlets in the area. It will also be of benefit to Bus Eireann, as they will gain extra business and provide better service to this part of the Waterford Community. In order to do this, we would like to gather support from the community in the form of signatures on a petition. Voting in elections and referendums is an important part of being a full citizen. In Ireland the process is so outdated and hard to do that many people don't bother to register or change their address when moving to a different area.

There is a ready made ideal site for a playground in Rockfield Park, namely the now unused square surfaced with tarmac which used to serve as an all weather five-a-side. DCC intend re-greening this when it could serve as a ready made foundation for a playground. A properly secured playground would be a great amenity and would lead to a more widespread use of the park by the community

Current opening hours do not facilitate the working public- closed for an hour at lunch, closed Wednesdays and closed on saturdays. Huge money has been spent on the new facility recently opened in the Excel and the weekend footfall is huge. It’s a massive waste of a resource not to allow access on Saturdays.

Based on original articles in the media, the plan is to build approx. 700+ houses in Tinakilly. Wicklow County Council has approved the first round of this development, for 271 houses which will be built in the fields to the right of Tinakilly avenue (going up the avenue). The fields to the left of Tinakilly avenue are also owned by the same consortium and are zoned for residential development. There is no doubt, that in the future, this consortium will also apply to build an additional significant number of houses here. The plans for the 271 houses involve a phase 1 of the Rathnew inner relief road development, which will run from Broomhall interchange (traffic lights) to half way up Tinakilly avenue. Phase 2 development of this road will connect to Newrath (approx back of Fiat garage) which will see Tinakilly avenue cut in half. This road will be a two lane carriageway with footpaths and cycle lanes on both sides. This major road artery will simply destroy the existing avenue. For years, Tinakilly has been an area of significant beauty and has been respected and enjoyed by the people of Rathnew and surrounding areas. The primary schools have enjoyed their nature walks here and continue to do so. It was described by the late Éamon de Buitléar as an area of outstanding, natural beauty and one of the finest examples of a sylvan avenue. The ecosystem will be destroyed. Fauna and flora will be wiped out. Some things are irreplaceable. The environs of Tinakilly are also home to two protected structures (Tinakilly House and Broadlough House), however, as the lands where once owned by Captain Robert Halpin, we feel the entire area should be considered as a protected landscape. There is already an abundance of proposed and existing houses developments that can cater for the demand of our village. The current population of Rathnew is approx. 3,500 and we are approaching max capacity in our brand new schools (Dec 2016). This development is not in the interest of the people of Rathnew.
