Tell Electric Picnic to Drop Coca Cola as a SponsorSince October 2023, Gaza has faced one of the deadliest assaults in modern history. Over 300,000 Palestinians have been killed, the majority of them women and children. Entire communities have been erased, and the genocide continues daily. Coca-Cola is not a neutral brand in this context. The company: Operates in illegal Israeli settlements built on stolen Palestinian land. Has supply chains and business practices that profit from occupation and apartheid. Uses global events and sponsorships to whitewash its image while remaining complicit in human rights abuses. Electric Picnic is more than just a festival it is a cultural institution in Ireland, a space where values of creativity, freedom, and solidarity are celebrated. Allowing Coca-Cola to sponsor the festival undermines these very values and makes Electric Picnic complicit in whitewashing genocide. By dropping Coca-Cola, Electric Picnic can send a powerful message: our culture will not be used to cover up crimes against humanity. This would not only honor the hundreds of thousands of lives lost in Gaza but also set a precedent for ethical sponsorship in the music and arts world. Standing against genocide is not political but is a matter of basic human rights and human dignity.313 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Jennifer Collins

Keep Finglas Connected - For a Better Bus ServiceThe new BusConnects plan for Finglas brings some positives – the F1 and F2 will be 24 hour services with high frequency, and the new 24 route will connect Finglas directly to Dublin Airport. But a bus services aren't just about connecting suburbs to the city centre in the fastest way possible. The need for local connections to shops, schools, community facilities, family and friends is vitally important. These are the everyday journeys that hold our community together. If these local links disappear, people will face longer journeys, overcrowded buses and possible isolation, hitting older people and those with disabilities the hardest. Sign and share this petition to ensure our voices are heard and that we have a bus service works for everyone in Finglas!556 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Conor Reddy

Lamp post maintenance on 24 year old graffiti in Inchicore.Residents of Inchicore and Dublin 8 use the Grand Canal to walk and cycle to work, and school. Local residents walk their dogs and relax with their children and family along this green space. The lamp posts along this section of the Grand Canal are rusty and have graffiti on them, some of which is 24 years. The run down lamp posts are taking away from the relaxation and feeling of safety on the tow path for walkers, cyclists and joggers using the tow path. This is a straight forward maintence job.8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Zoe Obeimhen

Increased Security and Garda Monitoring for Charlestown Place, FinglasEveryone deserves to feel safe in their own home and community. The situation in Charlestown Place has reached a breaking point — residents are being intimidated, property is being damaged, and families are living in fear. This is not just a matter of inconvenience, it’s a matter of safety, dignity, and basic human rights. Without immediate action from Urbeo, An Garda Síochána, and local representatives, these problems will continue to escalate, putting more residents at risk and damaging the sense of community we all value.144 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Saikat Das

I'm supporting the Global Sumud Flotilla sailing to break the illegal siege of Gaza. The siege and genocide must end. The people of Gaza are relying on regular people like us all to keep going - for them. The Global Sumud Flotilla is a coalition of everyday people—organisers, humanitarians, doctors, artists, clergy, lawyers, and seafarers—who believe in human dignity and the power of nonviolent action.3,877 of 4,000 SignaturesCreated by MyUplift

Safe Parking for Kilmacullagh Road Schools NowWhy is it important? The current parking and traffic situation on Kilmacullagh Road is unsafe for children, parents, and local residents. With two schools already operating and two building sites — including a new crèche — the road is becoming increasingly congested, creating real risks for accidents, delays, and conflicts in the community. Action now will prevent serious incidents and ensure a safer environment for everyone. Why should other people join? This issue affects the entire community: parents, children, local residents, and businesses. By joining the campaign, you help show decision makers that this isn’t just an individual concern, but a collective problem that needs urgent attention. Together, we can push for proper planning, safer roads, and better facilities for Kilmacullagh Road.117 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Tanya White

Improve accessibility ClonlaraOThe Clonlara residing along the R463 would like to request the support of all residents of Clonlara for the following reasons: • Improved accessibility for those of us at these addresses means more economic activity in Clonlara village. • It would allow us to access bars and restaurants. It would also create a higher footfall for the village shop which has now closed twice previously due to this challenge. It would increase bus service user numbers thus ensuring the service is not cancelled and more bus services may be added. • It would reduce traffic at Clonlara bridge as many would choose to walk and cycle such a short distance rather than sit on the bridge in traffic. • It would bring members from your community who are currently not spending time in the village due to a lack of accessibility across the bridge and create a more unified community. We would also like to request the support of those who have accessibility concerns for relatives living in the area. We thank you all for your support on this matter. **Petition update* On 12.10.2025 this petition was submitted to Clare Coco, Cathal Crowe TD, elected members of Shannon municipal district, Clare ag friendly programme, Rural and Community Development Officer Conor Leyden371 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Kellieann O'Brien

Oppose Chat Control in the EUThe proposed Chat Control legislation represents an unprecedented violation of our fundamental right to privacy. Mass surveillance of private communications is incompatible with Article 7 of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights. Breaking end-to-end encryption would make all EU citizens vulnerable to cybercriminals, authoritarian regimes, and foreign interference. Strong encryption is essential for our digital security and economic competitiveness. Do we not remember the 2021 cyberattacks on the HSE during the COVID pandemic? Technical experts and child protection organisations have pointed out that this approach will not effectively protect children while creating massive privacy violations. We need targeted, evidence-based solutions instead. This proposal has been repeatedly rejected or stalled by democratic institutions, with the European Parliament voting against mass surveillance and the Council failing to achieve majority support for over two years. AI-based content scanning produces numerous false positives, potentially criminalizing innocent family photos and conversations. The technical implementation is fundamentally flawed and unreliable. This legislation would damage the EU's digital economy, drive tech companies away, and undermine our competitiveness against regions that protect digital rights and innovation.120 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Kevin Brennan

Retain our retail space in JohnstownPlease sign this petition to highlight to KCC that as residents (1300 + people)of Johnstown we need a local convenience store where we can access provisions and not have to travel by car/bus to do so. The dynamic of the village has changed dramatically since the closure, with the Main Street becoming a rat run for the M7 as its only purpose. This is not to take away from the great work that the charity applying for the change of use do and we support their cause.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Cathy Morrissey
