"End of March" is now being used to manage parents' expectations. No clear goals, no plan in place to work towards. Nothing concrete. NPC, National Parents Council, just sent a countrywide survey asking: From Feb 11th do you want 4 weeks of online support for your children? This shows me schools are planning to stay closed. Preparing to stay closed. This shows me we need to act now. Teachers' Unions are NOT taking Governmental advice, NPHET, The WHO, Tulsa?. Whose advice are they taking ? Dr Glynn has repeatedly stated the negative impact school closure is having on children. Opening of schools cannot be tied to covid numbers any longer. Risk is always there. Speaking at a press briefing by the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) earlier, Dr Ronan Glynn said that although there were no “zero-risk” environments, the reopening of schools was in the best interests of children. POLITICIANS are asking for parents' voices to help with their debates. We need to show we care about this and want a clear plan. Agreed dates no more " hopes and maybes". Teachers Unions cannot be allowed to leave school openings in limbo. We have no road map. Currently, there is nothing to stop schools from being closed until after Easter. Sign this. Miller Cake Studio is a small family business which started as a home bakery 10 years ago. The Studio is now a very successful business in Marlay Park, Rathfarnham. We currently have 10 employees, something we are very proud of. We sell freshly baked cakes along with tea and coffee. Our establishment is part of the Council's effort to make Marlay Park Courtyard a vibrant location. We have a very loyal customer base which we are incredibly grateful for. We have been operating in the Courtyard the past 3 years. We have received support, permission and help from Council representatives to set up our business in the Park. A manager's order to allow us to move our business to a bigger unit in the Courtyard where we can sell hot beverages and bake our cakes as well was given and signed off by the Senior Parks Superintendent personally. The superintendent has now decided to take this away and close us down. The Council incorrectly granted exclusive right for selling hot beverages to another establishment in the park with complete disregard for our already established business. Now we are instructed to stop selling hot beverages immediately or the Council will terminate our contract and we will have to close with immediate effect. We need your support to pressure the Council to find another solution to the problem that they caused themselves instead of ruining a well established business and having 10 people lose their jobs in the middle of a world wide pandemic. It is important as over 30 children between primary & secondary school use this in the morning time & with our climate many mornings they are going into school saturated from the rain when waiting on the bus. We would like to provide shelter for them and have an eco approach to our strucure by creating a grass roof for biodiversity and the structure would include bird feeders and a bug hotel in the back of the structure .

It is both astonishing and shocking that Mr Campbell watched this deeply moving edition of Songs of Praise, full of love and praise for God, and saw only skin colour. Is he uncomfortable watching a programme where Black British people and culture are celebrated centre-stage? Did he think the BBC was racist when other programmes – night after night, decade after decade – only featured white people? We call upon Mr Campbell to provide any evidence that the five singers were there on the basis of anything other than their obvious skills, or that the three judges were selected for their skin colour rather than their expertise. Mr Campbell’s statement is not a trivial matter; it is deeply irresponsible. It is deeply worrying that Mr Campbell can confidently display such clear bias, apparently without fear of challenge or accountability. Given his role as an elected representative and public servant, Mr Campbell’s statement cannot go unchallenged; the potential costs are too high. Just weeks since the horrific attack on the Belfast Multicultural Association, it is alarming that a political leader thinks it appropriate to use this kind of race-baiting to secure some sort of perceived political advantage, regardless of the consequences. Black and ethnic minority people are not ‘other’; they are equal citizens in an increasingly diverse country, including in Mr Campbell’s constituency. He needs to withdraw his ignorant and insulting post and make a full public apology to the Black and minority ethnic community of his constituency and beyond. But on its own, that will not be enough. Mr Campbell’s statement shows contempt for The Executive Office’s professed vision of “a united community, based on equality of opportunity, the desirability of good relations and reconciliation - one which is strengthened by its diversity, where cultural expression is celebrated and embraced and where everyone can live, learn, work and socialise together, free from prejudice, hate and intolerance.” As First Minister, Arlene Foster is responsible for advancing this vision. As Mr Campbell’s party leader, we expect her to ensure that he is held accountable for his words. Failure to do so will mean the words of that Executive vision will ring hollow. Meanwhile, we commit ourselves to challenging racism and building a society that fully respects and celebrates diversity.

Eating disorders are some of the most complicated and fatal psychiatric illnesses but they are consistently neglected by the HSE. To adequately address patient needs, several years were spent devising a national plan — the Model of Care. It was approved in December 2017 but has yet to be implemented. The HSE allocated no new funding in 2020 and the funds remains unutilised. We are asking that the HSE fully implement the plan and use the funding allocated.

Students were told in an email from NUIG in the summer of 2020 to book accommodation in Galway for the college year, as all students would have time on-campus. In reality, the vast majority of students have had little or no on-campus activity. Cúirt na Coiribe and the Westwood refuse to refund students who took out leases in the anticipation that they would need accommodation in Galway. Many of these students have never set foot inside the accommodation which they are renting.

In recent years, the Dublin councils have only ever received one valid tender for their dog pound contracts, which was from Ashton Dog Pound & Warden Services. Over the years, many people have come to question the standards of care and the quality of service provided at Ashton Dog Pound, particularly in light of the current garda investigation into the misuse of controlled drugs which allegedly led to the death of 2 dogs in Summer 2020, which has now resulted in arrests. This has lead to a fundamental undermining of trust, not only in the Dublin dog pound and warden service, but in the whole public procurement process itself which has allowed a situation to continue, whereby there has been only one applicant for such a lucrative government contract. It is very important that the Dublin councils take urgent action to restore our faith in both the dog pound services they provide and the system by which they appoint service providers. Section 35(1)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act 2014 is subject to a public interest test, and states that information should generally be released if the public interest would, on balance, be better served by granting than by refusing to grant the FOI request. With this in mind, we call on all 4 Dublin councils to put animal welfare at the forefront of their decision making process when choosing a dog pound service provider in 2021 and fully commit to making all tenders available after the choice has been made, so that Dubliners can see that it was indeed in the best interest of our city's dogs.

People can go about their business saying Febuary without the added anxiety of people judging your inability to pronounce it properly.

It's important that we listen and its important we provide the services that are needed for children as by having right resources set in place from young age can help them in their adulthood and stop children from self harming and also stop them taken their own lives

This is important because there are at least 100,000 Muslims in Ireland , a forever growing population. Nandos UK have 434 Nandos outlets and 76 of them are Halal . Nandos have at least 9 restaurants in Dublin alone , yet none of them are halal or provide halal options. We need at least one Nandos with halal options in this country . Ireland claims to be an inclusive and diverse country , yet were one of the only dietary groups in the country that are not catered to in mainstream restaurant and fastfood chains. This is 2021 . We need these options. We need this change in Ireland. We would like Nandos Ireland to set the standard because everyone deserves a cheeky Nandos.

We cannot dismantle antisemitism if we are blocked from voicing our opinions and sharing our experiences with each other. We can discuss, debate, and even disagree, as long as we share the belief that all of us deserve safety, freedom, and dignity. We ask Facebook to not erect barriers impeding users from connecting with each other as we engage in this work. This is the wrong solution to a real and important problem: those who fuel antisemitism online will continue doing so, with or without the word “Zionist.” In fact, many antisemites, especially among white supremacists and evangelical Christian Zionists, explicitly support Zionism and Israel, while engaging in speech and actions that dehumanize, insult, and isolate Jewish people. Importantly, this move will prohibit Palestinians from sharing their daily experiences and histories with the world, be it a photo of the keys to their grandparent's house lost when attacked by Zionist militias in 1948, or a livestream of Zionist settlers attacking their olive trees in 2021. And it would prevent Jewish users from discussing their relationships to Zionist political ideology. Facebook scrutinizing specific words won't keep any of us safe, but it will prevent us from connecting on the political issues important to all of us and block us from holding people and governments accountable for their policies and actions.The current Israeli government, and some of its supporters, have demanded that Facebook add “Zionist” to its hate speech policy. This would shut down conversations about accountability for policies and actions that harm Palestinians. Facebook should refuse to cooperate with those who seek to build more walls to keep us apart. We call on Facebook to not add “Zionist” as a protected category in its hate speech policy.

Men playing for GAA are often subject to discrimination, rumours, harassment, abuse and bullying as old-fashioned club and Gaelic values like to hyper-masculinise Gaelic sports, leaving little room for the openness and encouragement of actively “out” (or closeted) homosexual/gay GAA players, clubs should adapt morally and respectfully to the ever changing world and stop hiding in the shadows of “Old Ireland” ‘s tradition of hyper-masculine, “strong men only” in GAA and widen their eyes to the recognition and importance that sexuality does not halt talent, and that players will feel emotionally more comfortable being recognised in their club for who they are, not just what they can achieve on the field. Proof of fear of being LGBT+ in the Gaelic community are players who have came out after they retire due to stigma during their playing career, e.g. Valerie Mulcahy, possibly the most successful Cork GAA ladies player winning at least 10+ All-Irelands; didn’t come out until she retired, Donal Og Cusack, Kilkenny hurling goalkeeper, didn’t come out until he retired and many more
