Keep Sulky Horse Activity Off Irish Public RoadsPublic roads are simply not safe environments for horses pulling sulkies at high speeds. Recent incidents across Ireland have highlighted the serious dangers associated with horses and sulkies on public roads, including collisions causing severe injuries and fatalities. Horses can become easily distressed by traffic, noise, and crowds, creating significant risks for the animals involved, road users, and local communities. Horses are sensitive animals, and forcing them to race or train on hard roads surrounded by traffic puts enormous strain on their bodies and creates risks that can end in tragedy within seconds. The NSPCA believes urgent action is needed to prevent further avoidable tragedies and ensure stronger protections for horses and the public.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Joanne Farrelly

Justice for GazaWhy is it important · Gaza is facing a man-made humanitarian catastrophe: hospitals without power, children starving, and aid systematically blocked. · International diplomatic efforts have repeatedly failed to ensure reliable humanitarian access. · A sitting Irish president personally joining an aid ship would break through media silence and put unprecedented moral pressure on world leaders. · Ireland has a strong parliamentary and public record of supporting Palestinian rights — this action would match words with courage. Why should other people join you in this campaign? · If enough of us speak up, we can turn a symbolic idea into a serious political conversation — and possibly a historic mission. · You believe that leaders should act with conscience, not just caution. Signing this petition says you value moral leadership over political convenience. · Every signature adds pressure. Together, we can help shift the debate from “should anyone go?” to “why hasn’t anyone gone yet?” · This campaign isn’t about one person — it’s about demanding that those with power use it to protect civilian lives, wherever they are.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Patrick Mangan

Compensate Dublin's Silk Road Café for Forced Closure for the EU PresidencyThe beloved Silk Road Café at the Chester Beatty, Dublin Castle, is being forced to close for six months to facilitate the EU Presidency, with no compensation. Instead of celebrating the café's 25th anniversary in July, owner Abraham Phelan will have to let go his loyal staff of many years. The least our public representatives and bodies can do is to compensate the workers, or offer an alternative premises so the café can continue to provide delicious food to Dubliners and visitors. They should also ensure that any other workers who are suffering job losses for the same reason are compensated.514 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Catherine Ann Cullen

Protect our vulnerable, end evictions from Private nursing homesA recent Journal investigates report has highlighted a major issue in relation to private nursing homes here in Ireland. Families being threatened with evictions of their loved ones for simply raising concerns relating to the care of their loved one. With over 80% of nursing homes in Ireland now being privately owned and operated the government need to step in and protect the most vulnerable people within our society. These private nursing homes are paid public money through the so called "Fair Deal" scheme and the provide a public service in terms of long term care. The report highlighted how families who raised concerns over the level of care provided to their loved one, were then threatened with eviction. This leads to an imbalance of power, where the nursing home has control over a persons place within the system. That imbalance of power needs to be corrected and it needs to be done now. We the undersigned and now calling on Minister of state for older people, to take immediate action to end the cruel practice and to strengthen all laws that protect vulnerable people within private nursing homes.92 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ross McGann

Tramore Childcare InfrastructureRaising a family in Tramore means facing an invisible wall when it comes to early years education and care. Parents are stuck on stagnant waiting lists, facing immense pressure, and frequently forced to delay returning to the workforce because our town's infrastructure has completely failed to keep pace with its growth. We love our community, but a thriving town cannot be built on housing developments alone; it requires functional, accessible public services. This campaign is a coordinated effort to get direct, actionable answers to the structural flaws stalling our town's childcare system. By joining us, you are adding your voice to five critical demands: • Pilot A State-Led Model • Housing Planning Enforcement • Fast-Tracked Capital Funding • Joined-Up Town Planning • Accessible Financial Subsidies Our children deserve the opportunity to learn and grow in their own locality, and parents deserve a system that works. Please sign this petition to support these targeted objectives, and join us at our public meeting on Thursday, June 11th, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the Coastguard Cultural Centre to present these demands directly to our elected representatives.205 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Carrie O'Hanlon

Duncannon Village in County Wexford Needs a Scheduled, Permanent Local Link Service!Duncannon Village in County Wexford is excluded from having a scheduled, permanent Local Link service. The National Transport Authority (NTA) has consistently refused to add Duncannon to the service currently enjoyed by other communities in the area, despite sustainable transport for rural areas being a key component of the Government's Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan. Our community deserves to be treated fairly and have equal access to Local Link services. The DUNCANNON VILLAGE RENEWAL COMMITTEE and LOCAL RESIDENTS are organising a campaign to request that the NTA reconsider their decision, treat our community fairly, address this inequality, and provide Duncannon with a Local Link service. Many people in and around Duncannon do not have access to personal transport. This lack of access affects particularly elderly and young people. A scheduled, sustainable, permanent Local Link service would hugely enhance their quality of life, enabling everyone to access essential amenities and travel quickly and safely to other places not covered by Bus Eireann services. It would also help young people to socialise and attend activities outside of school. Sustainable, scheduled public transport helps to prevent isolation, build community cohesion and strengthen bonds. The General Manager of TFI (Transport For Ireland) Local Link, Wexford, has been very supportive and has petitioned the NTA board to add Duncannon to the Local Link 399 route. This request has been rejected. The reason given is that the Bus Eireann service 370 stops in Duncannon, but that service is limited. It only stops at 07.25, 12.20 and 16.15, Monday – Saturday, not on Sundays or public holidays, and doesn’t go to other villages or around the Hook Peninsula. In stark contrast, the Local Link 399 service visits the nearby villages of Ballyhack and Fethard-on-Sea seven times a day, seven days a week, including public holidays. There are many other locations that benefit from both services, including local villages of Campile, Ramsgrange and Wellington Bridge. Why is Duncannon consistently denied this benefit? It would add only ten or fifteen minutes in run-time to include Duncannon Village in the current Local Link 399 route. Bus Eireann are purportedly waiting on funding to increase services on route 370 but there is no indication of when this might happen. And an extended Bus Eireann service would not fulfil the obvious need for a scheduled Local Link service between Duncannon, Fethard-on-Sea and the wider Hook Peninsula. Duncannon Village is an extremely popular destination, drawing large numbers of visitors at weekends, on public holidays (when Bus Eireann is unavailable), and throughout the summer. Parking is very limited in the village. A scheduled, permanent Local Link service would help to reduce pollution and congestion, alleviate parking difficulties and enable people from other local villages to visit Duncannon. The General Manager of TFI (Transport For Ireland) Local Link, Wexford understands the issues Duncannon residents and other people face. Working in close partnership with the Duncannon Village Renewal Committee, they organised a shuttle service between the village of Ramsgrange and Duncannon for the Duncannon Summer Festival in July 2025. It was a huge success, carrying well over a hundred passengers throughout the day and late into the evening. It enabled people to access and enjoy the festival, to travel safely and significantly reduced car journeys into the village. Our local GP, Dr Doyle, is moving her GP surgery onto the centre of Duncannon. Representatives from the HSE were very surprised that Duncannon is excluded from the Local Link service and are very keen to see the village included in the future. Together, the HSE and Local Link could improve the health of the local population by providing an important service enabling access for everyone. We urge the NTA to reconsider their decision, to treat our community fairly, address this inequality, and provide Duncannon with the same Local Link service that other communities in the area enjoy.160 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Trish McGrath

Save the Axis Café - Fund Our Community! The Axis Café is a vital community space in the heart of Ballymun. Older people meet there every day. Disabled young people use it as a social outlet and a place to build independence. Local groups and services rely on it as a welcoming, accessible meeting place. The staff know people by name and have served this community for years. Losing it would be a devastating blow on top of years of disappointments and neglect - from the failure to deliver on regeneration promises like the shopping centre to struggles with the housing crisis and social disadvantage. Losing it would mean isolation and disconnection for so many. It would mean job losses for staff and a further fraying of the social fabric of our community. The café has been hit by rising costs and the cost of living crisis. But it should not be left to sink or swim. It is vital community infrastructure in an area that faces more challenges than most and it should be funded. Save the Axis Café!593 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Erica Kiernan

Addressing Water Outages in North KildareFor those with small babies, they are left unable to feed their children with no notice. For those unable to travel, they are left with no access to a shop to purchase water. The elderly and vulnerable are left with no heating, and farm animals and pets are left with no drinking water. There is a knock effect for everyone when this basis necessity is taken so regularly, and without warning. The water rarely, if ever, returns at the aforementioned time, and when it does, it is unusable for at least a whole day after due to the sediment.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Michelle Duffy

No mortgage deposit for long-term rentersI believe renters should be allowed to use a proven rental payment record in lieu of a large deposit requirement, particularly for first-time buyers with stable employment and strong financial histories. Many renters consistently pay monthly rent that is equal to or higher than a mortgage repayment, often for years without missing payments. This demonstrates financial reliability and repayment ability. However, saving for a deposit while paying high rents has become extremely difficult. Myself and my boyfriend have been renting for the last three years in Bettystown, Co. Meath, paying rent of between 1,300 and 1,500, as a result of renting we have been unable to save up a deposit to buy our own home. We have been paying rent that would be equal or higher to a mortgage repayment. I work in AIB helping others with their mortgages so I know for a fact others pay less for their homes than we pay in rent. We have a ten month old daughter and we would like to own our own property so she has a home to grow up in, rather than renting where we're not one-hundred percent sure we will be able to live for years to come. It is hard to plan for her future - schools/clubs for her to join - as we are not sure we will still be able to live in this area forever, as much as we would like to.10 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Rachel Kendellen

Ballivor Needs WaterIn 2021, Uisce Éireann said that the water treatment plant in Ballivor, Meath, was a priority and works to increase the storage capacity would begin shortly. In 2024, they said work would be completed by 2027. We are halfway through 2026 and no work has commenced. The water tower in Ballivor needs to be refilled too often because it does not have the storage capacity for the amount of houses it supplies. People are left without water for prolonged periods as a result. There have been parents of newborns left without water to clean bottles, elderly people who can’t even fill their kettle, and appliances damaged from the residual buildup pumped from the outdated tower.128 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Eileen Yates
