A Luas extension: Saggart to Newcastle
We understand a Luas extension to Finglas is almost underway but we also believe an extension from Saggart to Newcastle would also be quite ideal for the majority of people who live in the Rathcoole / Newcastle area for the people who dont drive it would be nice to have a Luas operation running towards Newcastle including stops at
• Saggart Village / Sráidbhaile Teach Sagard
• Rathcoole Park / Páirc Ráth Cúil
• Rathcoole / Ráth Cúil
• Commons / Coitanta
• Greenogue / Grianóg
• Ballynakelly / Baile na Coille
• Newcastle / An Caisleán Nua
We would like to see this extension mainly for people who live in the area so they have an easy mode of transport, If however Transdev decide to add Luas stations at seperate spots they are more than welcome but the idea to Newcastle is our main priority.

Why is this important?
We believe that the Luas extension to Newcastle is a great idea for the local population and we believe it would make travel alot quicker and safer for the younger people travelling towards Tallaght, We also believe that with the extension to Newcastle would be great for people visiting Dublin and wanting to travel as much as possible, But mainly it is for the people of Newcastle to provide them with a safe and quick mode of transport.
