Insurance ReferendumThe cost of insurance is ruining the country causing all sorts of disruption to business and leisure activity. A referendum would allow us to move onto the same system as the rest of the EU (ex UK) where awards are determined by Government and not the Courts.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Paul Dixon

We want the government to build enough public housing for Dublin. We now have a housing crisis and a homelessness emergency in our city. If other countries provide public housing, why can't we? In the long run, the state would save money. At present they are spending millions on hotels to house the homeless and hap payments etc. This money is being wasted, going into private pockets) Our youth are forced to emigrate because they can't afford rent nor to buy their own homes. Our artists and musicians are leaving the city. DUblin could become a cultural vacuum full of old rich people with everyone else pushed out. People are sleeping in the streets and squashed into unsuitable, unsafe buildings. We need the government to grab hold of a hopeful, positive vision of homes for all, to make this logical decision, and to BUILD a better future for people in Dublin.126 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Aoife Lalor

No More Sitka Spruce PlantationsSitka is a non-indigenous tree, and Ireland has a plan to plant millions more. These mono-culture plantations are ecological dead-zones and harm our native wildlife as well as our natural environment. We need smart and sustainable policies for a real future.115 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Aprile Blake

Strengthen laws on greyhound racing after RTE investigates programmeIt's important because Ireland as a country and a people have a reputation of been caring towards animals a reputation that the RTE investigates programme seriously questions. Secondly because the irish taxpayer is giving this industry 16.5million euro every year which equates to a quarter of a billion since the early 2000's and as such the animals in question deserve proper treatment and care and if the bodies who control the sport don't want to then the taxpayer who funds it should hold them to account. Thirdly because precedent has been set Sports Ireland withdrew 3 million of funding from FAI over strange financial practices and a loan from its CEO to the organisation yet the Irish Greyhound Board gets 16.5 million to allow the practices highlighted in Wednesday RTE Investigates programme which for me it just as bad if not worse than what FAI were doing15 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Conor Mulcahy

Grooming children should be a criminal offenceI have direct experience of how the current child protection system does not protect children caught up in domestic abuse and family law procedures. Children are not being protected by the Child First Guidelines, Tusla and the family law system but in fact are being placed in even great danger. I do not believe this is an isolated issue but something that is happening to other families too.4 of 100 Signatures
