To: We call on Minister James Lawless TD to Fund a National Student Meal Support Programme. No student in Ireland should have to choose between food and their future.

Feed a Student. Build a Leader

Sponsorship for University Students Suffering a Hunger Crisis
Dear Minister James Lawless TD,

Students are studying on empty stomachs.
Not because they’re lazy or careless but because they can’t afford to eat.
The costs of groceries has tripled.

Some students don’t need more motivation. They just need a meal.

That’s why we have started Crave Christi Student Sponsorship Meals. We’ve been serving students free weekly meals.
Bringing back focus. Creativity. Restoring human needs.

But this can’t stay small. It’s time Ireland had a National Student Meal Support Programme, one that ensures no student has to choose between food and their education.

Minister, we’re not asking for charity. We’re asking for partnership.
Because when you feed a student, you’re not just helping them get through college.
You’re helping them become everything this country needs next.

God bless you,
Christiana Igweze
Founder, Crave Christi

Why is this important?

Some students don’t need more motivation. They just need a meal.

Right now across Ireland, too many students are studying hungry, skipping meals to pay rent or travel to class. Hunger isn’t just physical. It drains focus, energy, and hope.

When we feed students, we’re not just helping them survive college. We’re helping them show up fully, to learn, lead, and become who they’re meant to be.

This is why we’re building Crave Christi Student Sponsorship, to make sure no student is left behind because of an empty plate.

Join us in turning compassion into action. Together, we can make student hunger impossible to ignore.

Because hunger shouldn’t be part of the college experience.
Not here. Not now.
