Rid our food chain of Single Use Plastics

I want Minister Bruton to work with Supermarket owners and food producers towards a common deadline where Single Use Plastics will no longer be allowed on our supermarket shelves. Consumers pay to dispose of the packaging, its production damages the environment and it will not degrade.

Why is this important?

Single use plastics are damaging to the environment, non-recyclable and are a by product of the oil industry. With rocketing co2 levels and extreme weather events now a reality, we need to divest.
