  • Let’s Fix the Path on Estuary Road!
Fix the damaged pathway areas outside houses  number 8 and number 9 Estuary Road Malahide. These raised areas and potholes are a tripping hazard for pedestrians and have caused many young children to fall off of their bikes and scooters.

  • Mogeely Interim Flood Relief
While we wholeheartedly appreciate Cork County Councils attempts to respond to the scale of the problem for all of East Cork, we feel we can as a community assist in the solution for our area. There is currently a culvert under the Kileagh Road which becomes overwhelmed from water entering it from the woods on higher ground. The proposal is to hold any overflow of water at the lowest point of the land until levels drop in the stream across the road. As soon as the levels drop, it is proposed to release the water under the road in a direct line to join the Dower River which disappears into the cave systems and does not affect any other area downstream. The landowner has the equipment and expertise to complete this body of work and would only require your approval. This would ensure the safety of the wider community in Mogeely during heavy rainfall periods and not just Gleann Fia estate.

  • Dunshaughlin - Plastic Free Shopping in Aldi
We want zero-waste shopping brought to Dunshaughlin! ‘Sick Of Plastic’ in Dunshaughlin is aiming for less waste produced in our town. With the new Aldi coming in, it’s the perfect opportunity for us to show them we want, and need, plastic-free shopping facilities in Dunshaughlin. Supermarkets have incredible influence and power over the waste produced in a community, and they are responsible for the choices offered to us as shoppers. We need to demand packaging free products at equal prices. Now is the perfect time to include plans for a zero waste section in the new Aldi.

  • 2 Years, No Services: End the Neglect of Disabled Children in Ireland
Dear Minister Norma Foley, I am writing to express my deep frustration and heartbreak over the dire state of disability services in Donegal and across Ireland. My child, who requires essential occupational therapy, has not received a single session in the past two years. In fact, over the last decade, they have had only 4–5 appointments — an appallingly inadequate level of care for a child in need. This is not just our story; it is the reality for countless families across the country. Children with disabilities are being left behind, their development and well-being compromised by a failing system. Despite promises of improvement, services remain severely underfunded and understaffed, with families waiting years for even basic interventions. We cannot allow this neglect to continue. Every child deserves access to the care and support they need to thrive. I urge you to prioritize and invest in disability services, clear the backlog of cases, and give our children the future they deserve. We need action — not tomorrow, but now. Sincerely Anil Antony
