We demand action from the Councils in Galway on ILLEGAL DUMPING.

In August 2025, residents of Cherrywood and surrounding areas were exposed to two weeks of daily smoke from smouldering gorse fires at Ticknick.  Families — including children and older residents — have been forced to breathe unsafe levels with PM2.5 and VOC levels far above WHO safe limits, while current monitoring stations located kilometers away do not reflect the true conditions we are forced to live in. Even with windows sealed, smoke particles seeped indoors, leaving children and families exposed to dangerous air for over two weeks. Public authorities failed to acknowledge the public health risk or take accountability for developing a long-term solution. Instead, responsibility was pushed back and forth, while residents endured continuous exposure. We now call for urgent lessons to be learned — and concrete actions to ensure families in Cherrywood and across Ireland are never left unprotected again.

We want the Minister to continue the Coonagh/ Knocklasheen Northern distributor road as agreed by the people of Limerick and it’s communities. The Minister is stopping a project that has 20 million euros spent on it. The project is vital to the Northside of Limerick and must proceed. Page 26 of the Programme for Government - Our shared future states that no project that started should be frustrated or delayed. This is exactly what is happening- please sign and ensure democracy is followed and we are heard.

We want the Dublin Eastern Bypass motorway to be removed from all future-looking plans. We also want the government or councils to allow some reserved land to be rezoned for housing, and protected lands from Sandyford to Booterstown to be reused for possible Luas spurs or rapid bus corridors.

USE OF THE HARBOUR BY VESSELS @ Skerries harbour. New bye-laws 1 thru 11 are being introduced where objections were entered and ignored by all local representatives and voted for without public consideration.

We demand that Ireland introduces postal voting rights for all Irish citizens abroad. Their inclusion is vital to creating a representative democracy that works for everyone, at home and abroad.

We, the community of Raphoe, strongly oppose the planned development to facilitate "QUARRYING OF 4.81 HECTARES WHICH WILL BE SUBJECT TO EXTRACTION AND PROCESSING OF ROCK BY DRILLING, BLASTING, CRUSHING AND SCREENING" at Magherasolis & Craigs Raphoe.
