Install water fountains and filling stations throughout Galway, which would encourage re-use and re-filling of water bottles and provide free and safe drinking water to the public. We are requesting that the Councils identify pilot locations in areas of high pedestrian footfall, and examine the costs and best ways to implement the scheme.

Remove the two-way cycle lane taking over the vehicle lane on Shannon Bridge before the schools go back, otherwise there will be traffic chaos. Instead put in proper cycle lanes either side of the bridge that will properly connect to the rest of the Condell Road, and leaving two lanes of inbound traffic over the bridge.

Put in place a pedestrian crossing at Taylor Walkers Dance Academy or install traffic lights at the T junction to ensure students/all pedestrians can cross the road in a safe manner. This would also help drivers become more aware and show consideration for pedestrians by giving them the right of way and reducing speed.

Tweaking the existing laws and housing policy will not address the fundamental root cause of recurring Housing crises in Ireland - property rights have precedence over human rights to a home in Ireland.
