Rockfield Park needs a playground

Dublin City Council has overlooked Rockfield Park for a playground citing the age profile of the area. The reality is that many grandparents as well as parents see the need for a local playground rather than having parents and children cross a busy road to May Park.

Why is this important?

There is a ready made ideal site for a playground in Rockfield Park, namely the now unused square surfaced with tarmac which used to serve as an all weather five-a-side. DCC intend re-greening this when it could serve as a ready made foundation for a playground. A properly secured playground would be a great amenity and would lead to a more widespread use of the park by the community

Hi all,
I would like to invite you to a discussion in the Artane Beaumont recreation centre on April the 15th at19.30 about trying to get a playground in Rockfield park. All the local election candidates will be there so i think this will be an excellent opportunity to show our support for a playground in the area. It would be great if you could attend and show your support.
Thanks
