Regulate Operating Wind Farms To Protect Health & Put Nature First

We call for the regulation of operating wind farms, to safeguard public health & well-being, and protect the environment.

Why is this important?

It has been more than 10 years since the Dept. of Health issued a position on Wind Turbines, a review is well overdue.

It is like the wild west, no regulation exists, individuals are not supported & their complaints remain unresolved. Wind Farm Operators withhold noise data, an action that only confirms the problem.

Local authorities, the HSE Environmental Health and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) receive noise and shadow flicker complaints from those living near turbines, the complaints remain unresolved.

What are the health impacts?
The health effects experienced by those living beside industrial Wind Turbines include, sleep disturbance, headaches, tinnitus, ear pressure, nausea, eye strain
& visual blurring, dizziness, vertigo, tachycardia, irritability, problems with concentration and memory and panic episodes, anxiety & stress.

Protect the Environment
Environmental Noise adversely affects wildlife, increasing stress levels and slower reaction time to predators. We must put nature first!

What exactly are we calling for?
• Regulation of operating wind farms.
• Regulatory procedures to ensure adequate & timely remedy to complaints.
• Increased authority for health agencies & environmental bodies, ensuring the future protection of human health, wildlife and their habitats.

Thank you for your support. Together, we can make a difference.
