Make St. Patrick's Day a Bank Holiday Weekend ☘️
We, the undersigned, call on the Government of Ireland and the Oireachtas to amend existing legislation governing public holidays, including the Organisation of Working Time Act 1997, to reform how St. Patrick's Day is observed.

- A public holiday be designated on the Monday immediately following, creating a consistent St. Patrick's Day bank holiday weekend.
Why is this important?
St. Patrick's Day is Ireland's most important national and cultural celebration, recognised globally.

- Support tourism, hospitality, and local economies across the country
- Provide a consistent national holiday structure
This change would preserve the cultural, historical and religious significance of the 17th of March while improving how the public holiday is observed for the benefit of society and the economy.
