TCD: Hold a Climate Assembly and ReferendumTrinity College Dublin must hold an emergency academic assembly on the role of the university in the climate and ecological emergency. The assembly must be modelled on a Citizens' Assembly, with students, academic staff and non-academic staff being selected by sortition from the university population. The assembly should cover, at a minimum: - The extent of the climate and ecological emergencies, including the threat of climate tipping points and the potential for mass displacement and loss of life. - The economic mechanisms that have brought us to this precipice - The history, rationale and essential techniques of effective non-violent direct action (NDVA) as practised successfully by Gandhi, Martin Luther King, the Suffragettes and many others. Speakers should be provided by both Mobilise Peace campaign activists and the university, with attendees choosing who they wish to hear more from. Policy resolutions agreed by the assembly should be binding. The assembly should conclude with a referendum on whether or not to mobilise into civil disobedience against the government.148 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Zac Lumley

Let Democracy SpeakThe people of Dublin Fingal went to the polls on the 8th of February 2020 to vote for their GE2020 candidate. Similar to the rest of the country the people made it clear that change was needed and people were no longer happy with a FF or FG led government. We the undersigned demand that the outgoing government of FF and FG put their differences aside and either; a) Form a government based on the will of the people regardless of what party they belong to OR b) Declare this election as void and go back to the polls for the people to decide on who they want to govern them.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Aine O'Beirne

RETAIN, EXPAND AND EXTEND BASIC INCOME FOR ARTISTS (BIA) IRELAND[email protected] Dear Minister Patrick O'Donovan, I am writing as one of the 2,000 recipients of the Basic Income for the Arts (BIA) pilot scheme, which is due to end this August. With no clear decision yet communicated, many of us are facing serious stress and uncertainty. The BIA has been a life-changing support—providing €325 per week, taxed and declared as self-employed income, with full accountability through regular surveys and detailed time logging. This is not a handout; it is recognition of creative work as real, valuable labour. The 2025 report by Dr. Jenny Dagg shows that this scheme has improved financial stability, artistic output, and wellbeing. Its recipients represent the full diversity of Irish artists across disciplines, regions, and career stages. We now urgently call on you to retain the BIA for current recipients, extend the scheme into the future, and expand access to all eligible artists in Ireland. To end the scheme now, with no transition plan, would damage not only the lives of artists but Ireland’s entire cultural ecosystem. Please act now. Keep the BIA alive. Support Ireland’s artists. Secure the future of our cultural sector. Sincerely, [Your Name]7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Karl Seery

I Believe HerDear Chief and Lord Justices, Women across Ireland do not feel that they can report sexual assault for fear they will be even more traumatised by the process. The Belfast Rape Case has brought this into sharp focus. The case has sparked a nationwide conversation about how rape and sexual assault cases are conducted. The woman involved was shamed publicly. She didn’t even have her own legal representation. From rape crisis centres, to policing and legal experts, there is widespread agreement that our court system makes it very difficult for victims of sexual assault to report their experiences. It’s vital that people who have been sexually assaulted feel that they can come forward. Otherwise, rapists will never be brought to justice and our whole society is less safe. We, the undersigned, call on you to show leadership in making the changes needed to the judicial systems on the island of Ireland so that victims have faith and trust in the process of seeking justice. It’s time that all involved are treated in a manner in keeping with the basic principles of a decent and just society.4,204 of 5,000 Signatures
