  • Give an Irish welcome to Palestinians. Expand the Community Sponsorship Ireland scheme.
At present the Community Sponsorship Ireland scheme is restricted to Syrian and Afghani refugees. The government should expand this scheme to include Palestinians. This will allow communities to provide accommodation and suitable support for Palestinian families. Ireland should be willing to offer hope to people undergoing a genocide. In Corca Dhuibhne, the Dingle peninsula, County Kerry, we have connections to two families whose words we share below and we would love to welcome them under the Community Sponsorship Ireland scheme. We know that many other Irish communities would also like to welcome Palestinians. Please help us pressure the government and sign this petition. Keep reading to hear about our brothers and sisters in Gaza.

  • Prevent forced relocation of Ukrainian families settled in Blackrock
Our lives and the vibrant nature of our community in Blackrock, Co. Dublin are touched and enriched by five Ukrainian refugee families who have now made this place their home.  It was very reassuring to know one of the girls settled into my daughter's primary school class at Carysfort National School. She found joy, friends, and integrated well into the local community under very difficult circumstances. Her mother, who works locally, has also become a valued member of our community.  In total, the families comprise of five mothers, two fathers, and 8 children, all of who are actively contributing to both the economic and social life of Blackrock.  There are also 15 other adults, 18-66 yrs old, in employment and retired. They have worked tirelessly to settle amid incredibly challenging circumstances, and their efforts have not gone unnoticed. They've become part of our local sports clubs, employment market, schools, and more importantly, our lives and hearts.  Despite their successful integration, the Department of Children is planning a very short-notice relocation to the other side of the city and proposed closing the accommodation.  The families were told by letter on Friday of last week the 20th of September that they must move out by *7th October*. This is deeply concerning because moving them would not only impose unwarranted distress on these families but also deprive our community of valuable members. It is also not in line with Ireland's cherished tradition of hospitality and acceptance, strongly embedded in the ethos of the Irish Refugee Protection Programme. We urge the Department of Children to reconsider moving these families from their established homes in Blackrock. Their lives with us are a testament of resilience and mutual enrichment -  narratives we should strive to uphold in our society.  Time is of the essence and we need to act now. Stand with us as we call upon the relevant authorities to let our friends stay where they have so splendidly settled-in. Please sign this petition to support our cause.

  • Speed ramps for Bluepool Upper, Kanturk
This petition is regarding the safety of all children and people who live in Upper Bluepool Kanturk. We ask for your help to allow our children to cross and navigate Upper Bluepool Road safely. Within the the last 3 years traffic has increased significantly, with the introduction to new housing development. The volume of traffic has in increased ten fold. Also this has increased the Appeal to non native, non aware and non familiar traffic using our road. Upper Bluepool is a narrow and curved road leading to a Cul De Sac. The rate of speed at which cars etc. Are driving up our road is detrimentally leading to a serious risk of life on our road. Today for example, our household observed 8 cars travelling at least in excess of 60km p.h Fact. We need urgently need a speed reducing ramp if not 2 on our road. Also. A sign of cauntion children ahead. The road starts to get bend just before the new houses, Kids want to play outside with their friends and socialise but the fear is there when the car comes, especially when crossing the road. The road has no sign and no ramp where is needed. The nearest ramp is near the Co op shop which is far away from the new houses which allows cars get speed back. We have up to 30 Kids who use our road and need a signed road to make the cars aware of them. Please sign to this petition to make better and safety road

  • Increased Security and Garda Monitoring for Charlestown Place, Finglas
Petition Text We, the undersigned residents of Charlestown Place, Finglas, are calling for urgent action to address recurring attacks, disturbances, and anti-social behaviour in and around our homes. In recent weeks and months, our community has been repeatedly targeted by groups of youths engaging in violent and disruptive behaviour, including: • Fireworks directed at the building and residents • Acts of aggression and intimidation, particularly towards residents from other countries • Damage to property and common areas These incidents are not isolated. They are increasing in frequency and severity, threatening the safety, well-being, and peace of our community. Many residents have already documented such incidents with photos and videos, which can be provided as supporting evidence. We respectfully request that Urbeo (our management company) act immediately in coordination with An Garda Síochána and/or a private security service to ensure: • Regular and visible Garda monitoring, ideally on a 24/7 basis, or at least during afternoons and evenings when most incidents occur • An increased and consistent security presence to protect residents and property Our community deserves to feel safe in our own homes. Immediate action is necessary to prevent further harm and to restore peace and security to Charlestown Place. We, the undersigned, support this petition and urge swift measures to be taken.
