RESPREEZA for ALPHA 1 Patients in IrelandCalling for the HSE to agree a fair price for reimbursement of the therapy before it's too late.. "Patients are urging both sides to end the current deadlock over the provision of Respreeza to a group of 21 patients who had been receiving the therapy on a "compassionate-use basis" on the conclusion of a clinical trial here. Following a HSE decision in August not to approve reimbursement of the Respreeza therapy for Alpha-1 patients, CSL Behring agreed to continue to provide the therapy to these patients until the start of a new clinical trial in 2018, however, it has refused to continue covering the cost of administering it. Patients are now several weeks of not having access to the therapy which is being stored in a central pharmacy warehouse but with no service provider to administer it. Many of the patients have been on the therapy for more than ten years and have no other therapy option. Let's Build Cloughjordan PlaygroundCloughjordan Community Development Association are working towards the development of a safe, inclusive and accessible playground in Cloughjordan for the benefit of children, families, and the wider community. At present, families in our area must travel to neighbouring towns to access suitable play facilities. This places an unnecessary burden on parents and limits opportunities for children to enjoy outdoor play, social interaction, and healthy development within their own community. This project has strong community backing. Local people and organisations have demonstrated their commitment by supporting community fundraising efforts to the tune of over €25,000 date. The project is shovel ready- we now just need to secure the relevant government funding to make this vision a reality. We respectfully urge Tipperary Co Co and Government Authority bodies to support us with the financial investment that will bring the playground to life in 2026. Together, we can create a lasting, positive space for current and future generations. Your support in signing this petition is appreciated.324 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Cloughjordan Playground Committee

Make Marriage Equality A Reality - 10 Years OnIt has been 10 years since the historic passing of Marriage Equality in May 2015, and yet, 10 years on in 2025, the LGBTQ+ community of Ireland do not truly have equal marriages. The majority of children born to LGBTQ+ parents in Ireland are left in an uncertain legal position without any functioning legal framework to establish a legal parent-child relationship with both of their parents. As well as the emotional impact of not having your family recognised as such, there are many practical impacts for the children of these families in areas such as; birth registration, citizenship provisions, childcare and/or educational provisions, access to social welfare, succession/inheritance rights etc.6,221 of 7,000 SignaturesCreated by Ranae von Meding

Extend library hours in Donegal TownWe want to Express our support for the extension of library hours or the return of library full service. Donegal Town Families are a group of Donegal residence and it has numerous frequent library users, that have personally experienced the challenges caused by limited operating hours. We believe that extending the library hours or returning full service to the library will benefit the community in many ways and help address the education and information needs of library users. We strongly advocate for relocating the library to a more suitable building. The current space is too small and severely restricts the services and resources the library can provide. To fully serve our community's needs, it is essential to find a more appropriate site that allows for expansion and improvement of the library's offerings. A library offers more than just access to books and other resources. It is a community gathering place where people from all walks of life can come together to learn, engage, and build relationships. Given the current situation of the pandemic, the library can be a safe haven for individuals who may not have access to the internet or who may have difficulty affording books or other educational materials. Extending the library hours or returning library full service would give the community more time to access the resources they need. This includes students who might need to work on school assignments after regular school hours, working adults who need access to the library after work hours, and families who need access over weekends and holidays In this day and age, education is critical, and the library can play a crucial role in providing resources and knowledge to individuals living in the community. Providing a full range of library services and more time to use the library is an investment in the community's education and well-being. In conclusion, We hope this petition will encourage the library administration to consider firstly to extending the library hours or returning full service to meet the community's information and educational needs. Secondly to relocate the service to larger location, which would benefit the community by allowing the library and other community organisations to hold events.301 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Karen Byrne

Support Stamp 3 - Spouse/Dependent Visa Holders of PhD students for the Right to WorkIt is increasingly important that those migrating to Ireland for the purpose of their PhD research are being joined by the families. It is strange that the dependents of PhD students coming from Non-EU nations cannot work in Ireland and support each other financially. Rather this will be a good opportunity for the dependents of the PhD students to contribute in Ireland by working displaying their skills and paying tax. We believe that the family members accompanying PhD students should receive immediate access to the labour market once they have been granted a resident permit. Otherwise, it creates difficulty for the PhD students to manage financially and it also might hamper their research work as there can be a potential financial burden. It is strange that the dependent of the PhD students under hosting agreement can have access to the labour market but the dependents of the PhD students who are not under hosting agreement cannot have access to the labour market. PROPOSED SOLUTIONS - Employers should be given clear information, including, if required, training so they are aware of the rights of Stamp 3 holders, the dependents of PhD students and encouraged to provide a fair opportunity to candidates in this category. - The INIS website should be edited to clearly explain the State’s policy to facilitate the access to employment of dependent family members of the PhD students residing in Ireland. - The dependent family members of the PhD students should have direct authorization to work and should only be required to register their employment.662 of 800 SignaturesCreated by PhD Students
