Let’s use Ecosia instead of Google as the HSE’s default search engine

Change settings on all HSE PCs, laptops, tablets and telephones so that they default to the search engine Ecosia (which plants trees with the profits generated from searches) instead of Google.

Why is this important?

Climate has a direct effect on health. Climate change is contributing to increased costs in healthcare. There should be no “free pass” for any sector of society in the fight to stop runaway climate change.
Information, and access to that information is a key part of Healthcare provision. Search engines are used on a daily basis by healthcare staff. Most PCs default to google or other search engines, leaving those multinational companies with the profits from advertising.
Ecosia (http://www.ecosia.org) is a search engine which invests the money raised from internet searches to plant and manage trees in various places on the planet. Wouldn’t it be better if trees were planted with the profits from healthcare searches instead?
