The residents of Ardmore are asking for support to Save The Beachfront. The local community does not support the waterfront development because: • The beachfront will be destroyed and part of the village history and character ruined forever. • It is a waste of public funds to spend €1.2 million on something which the local community do not need or want. • There is a cohort of residents who depend on the beachfront for social interaction, this will remove a critical informal social support. • The area has been prone to flooding and is unsuitable for such a development. • Local voices must be heard, engagement has been tokenistic.

Today The Complex cultural and arts space announced they are being evicted on January 14th. We need urgent action to save the building. We need Dublin City Council , Politicians and The Arts Council to take action! Sign this petition to show we care about cultural spaces! Now The Complex an arts space that is home to exhibitions, gigs, sober raves, storytelling events, over-the-top wrestling, and even an early Fontaines D.C. show is being forced out on 14 January 2026. It’s one of the last large independent event spaces we have left. And its eviction comes after more than a decade of losses: Jigsaw, Block T, Mambos,the Tivoli Theatre, Hangar, OG Bernard Shaw and many others. Each time a space disappears, so does a community. Dublin doesn’t just have a housing crisis it also has a culture crisis. We’re losing the places where art happens, where new scenes form, where people come together....

We call on Simon Harris TD Minister of Health and Joe McHugh TD Minister for Education & Skills to Reverse the 26th Jan 2016 of the Government decision to replace the Community Nursing Unit (Long Stay, Dementia and Medical Assessment Beds) at St Joseph's Community Hospital in Stranorlar, Co. Donegal. To not allow the Government and HSE to close hospital beds and or cutback services in St Josephs Hospital.

Following Maynooth University's decision to terminate the construction of the Student Centre levy project, the students of Maynooth are demanding: 1) Maynooth University must publicly state their commitment to delivering a Student Centre, and ensure its prioritisation over other capital developments on campus. 2) The student levy must be frozen, with no increases to the charge for a period of at least 5 academic years beginning in 2023-24. 3) Maynooth University must be transparent in its communication as to how the student levy is being used, prove their commitment to joint oversight of the fund, and work in good faith with Maynooth Students’ Union and the students of Maynooth to regain their trust. We are calling on the Minister of DFHERIS, Simon Harris TD, to support the students of Maynooth in these demands and aid us in bringing them to the attention of Maynooth University.
