  • Save Hedgerow Trees
Dear Minister Eamon Ryan, Our hedgerows are losing their taller tree species at an alarming rate across the country. Farmers are increasingly opting for shorter uniform hedgerows devoid of trees. Local authorities are removing trees along roadways unchecked for fear of litigation. Planning authorities are insisting that trees be removed from hedgerows at sites where new homes are being built, and homeowners are allowed to remove whatever trees they wish. Current legislation is clearly not fit for purpose when it comes to protecting our existing trees, and what legislation there is is not being enforced. If the current rate of deforestation is allowed to continue, and Ash die-back also continues apace, this country will be a tree-less green desert, save for the Sitka forests, within the decade. An urgent call to action is needed. No citizen or local authority should have the right to remove any trees from the land without a compelling reason and where no alternative is found. The current lack of consideration for our dwindling existing tree stock is scandalous, particularly in an age of such apparent climate change and terrifying rates of biodiversity loss globally. Decisive and urgent action is paramount.

  • Save Patrician Villas
It would mean a lot if you took a moment to add your name to this petition. The National Transport Authority, as part of the BusConnects project are seeking planning permission to make radical modifications outside and inside Patrician Villas. These plans include the loss of a recreational green space and the removal of at least 50% of the trees that protect Patrician Villas from the busy N11. We, the residents of Patrician Villas and Grove, were not invited to give our opinions on what may happen in our own neighbourhood and while we do not want to impede public transport infrastructure improvements, we would appreciate the opportunity to enter into dialogue with the NTA. This would allow residents present less destructive, safer and mutually agreeable alternatives. A petition may help us get such opportunity so we ask you to kindly lend your support and sign this petition so we can present it to the National Transport Authority, An Bord Pleanala, TDs and County Councillors. After you've signed the petition, could you also take a moment to share it with others? It's easy – all you need to do is forward this link. Thank you!

  • Save Doci’s Café
We are a small business that serves the community in Coolmine Industrial Estate. We established our busineses here during the pandemic in the most challenging times. Our business is our only source of income. We applied for planning retention and it was refused, one of the reasons was oversupply. At the moment there's no other place around selling barista coffee and not in this zoning part of the estate. This petition is to show the council that our community wants us here.

  • Save Merchant’s Arch
Please don’t “develop” such an iconic part of Dublin that’s been in existence since 1821! Merchant’s Arch area is beautiful, full of character and should be left alone. It’s part of the very essence of Dublin.

  • Save NHS Dentistry
Provide financial support to protect NHS dentistry services which are now under threat as a result of Covid19 Regulations. • Save The Iveagh Gardens
The Public want the Iveagh Gardens, which belong to the State, to be allowed to remain intact and the  protected boundary wall to be left in place. The protected boundary wall is in the way of the new Science Centre plan and that is why they want to demolish it. In other European capital cities precious  heritage parks like the Iveagh Gardens would be protected by the state. Instead our Government has casually handed over a part of a heritage park to facilitate the interest of a small cohort. This should be unthinkable We call on the Government to recognise the value of the Iveagh Gardens in its current state and halt the proposed demolition of the boundary wall to facilitate the building of a Science Centre. We call on our Governments Ministers to  listen to the widespread public objections to the plan. The Government should be uphold the rights and protections of our parks and not facilitate the diminishment of priceless heritage.
