The immediate introduction of new legislation to protect the living standards of workers who loose their jobs, as a result of their employment being wound up, due to liquidation. 2. To advance workers as the most important creditors in the case of liquidations. 3. For the government to introduce a statutory body resourced to carry out Liquidation/Administration processes. 4. For workers to have a right to access the terms of a collectively negotiated redundancy agreement through a statutory fund, in the event of liquidations. 5. For the government to immediately put in place a contingency fund that ensures any collective redundancy agreement terms are met in full to workers concerned

We are calling on the government to introduce real rent controls to combat soaring rents in Ireland. Rent controls should initially reduce rents to 2011 levels and, subsequently, rent increases should be linked to the Consumer Price Index. This process should be overseen by a new Rental Board according to transparent criteria.

Elon Musks social media platform X is allowing people to create sexual images of children and mainly women. This needs to be recognised for what it is; criminal activity.  So far the government response is to look at banning children from using the internet, a pathetic attempt to deflect from the real problem. They are afraid of holding social media bosses accountable. Anybody producing illegal content needs to know that they are not above the law. This is the governments job.

Caherdaniel and Castlecove villages in South Kerry, like many rural villages, have suffered the effects of depopulation, lack of employment opportunities and under investment in local infracture and services. We want to buck the trends of rural decline and make our two villages vibrant and resilient places where all can belong and flourish. We are asking for additional financial support from Kerry County Council and the Government to enable our community to develop through extended community activities and facilities. We also desperately need a safe walkway to enable pedestrians to move along the main ring of Kerry road. We, the undersigned, are committed to doing everything we can to create a better Caherdaniel parish. We want to have more funding made available that will revitalise the parish and make it a better place to life, work and for all to be able to participate in our great local community.
