Social media is flooded with harmful content — misogyny, toxic influencers, violent rhetoric — and kids are seeing it every day. We have age ratings for films, games, and TV — so why not social media? Right now, children are exposed to influencers who push dangerous views on masculinity, gender, and power. These messages shape how boys treat girls, how people relate to each other, and how safe young people feel — especially girls and women. We’re calling on the Irish government to introduce a Social Media Age Rating System that includes: Clear age labels on all videos and content Automatic filters that block age-inappropriate content based on the user's profile An independent watchdog to monitor and fine creators who mislabel content Real consequences for platforms and content creators that don’t enforce these rules

Electric Picnic is Ireland’s biggest music and arts festival, a celebration of creativity, freedom, and community. But one of its headline sponsors is Coca-Cola: a company that is a target of the international Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement for its complicity in Israel’s system of apartheid and military occupation. Since October 2023, more than 300,000 Palestinians in Gaza have been killed in the ongoing genocide. Entire families have been wiped out. Hospitals, schools, and refugee camps have been bombed. This is not a conflict: it is a deliberate campaign of destruction. Coca-Cola is complicit. The company operates in illegal Israeli settlements built on stolen Palestinian land, and its business interests help sustain and normalize this violence. By accepting Coca-Cola sponsorship, Electric Picnic risks becoming complicit too,using music and culture to whitewash corporate involvement in atrocity. Festivals are not neutral. They are spaces where we choose whose voices and values we amplify. Standing with Coca-Cola is standing against justice, against freedom, and against the thousands of Palestinians who continue to resist annihilation. We, the undersigned, call on Electric Picnic to: Drop Coca-Cola as a sponsor immediately. Commit to ethical sponsorship policies that exclude companies complicit in genocide, apartheid, and systemic human rights violations. Music should be about liberation, not whitewashing. Electric Picnic has the chance to show leadership by refusing complicity and standing with humanity. Sign this petition to demand: Drop Coca-Cola. Drop genocide profits. Stand for justice.

We ask you to consider extending the boundary of the current Lower River Shannon SAC to include both Brandon and Tralee Bays in North Kerry as they represent significant habitats to the protected Shannon bottlenose dolphin population.

Rents charged by landlords should be made public. 480+ properties have raised their advertised rent from 2%, up to and over 50% in rent pressure zones. In these areas, properties are generally restricted to 2% annual rent increases . We all have horror stories when it comes to renting, but this information gets lost on each new rental cycle, once that person moves on. 

We are calling for the immediate publication of a second report that was due in April to outline the targets for the nationwide delivery of essential domestic violence services. We ask Fianna Fail to continue the party's full support for Senator Frances Black's Occupied Territories Bill 2018 when it returns for its next stage in the Seanad on November 28th. Be resolute, and see the Bill through to enacted legislation to ban trade in goods produced in illegal Israeli settlements on Palestinian territories.
