MAKE SCHOOLS COVID19 SAFEThere are no “protective measures” in schools as per the governments road map. To ensure the safety of children & school staff we need: 1.COVID19 specialised ventilation with fans & filters; Dept of Education recommends rooms need to be kept above 16 degrees so fans & filters to remove aerosols hanging in the air are a necessity. 2. Funding for rain cover outdoors so time can be spent outdoors. 3. An online learning system for when children are out due to COVID19. 4. Smaller classrooms across the board achieved by having children in one day, out the next - this will half class numbers. 6. RAPID TEST & TRACE. CONTACT TRACING in line with ECDC & WHO guidelines. Close contacts of a positive case is every person in that same classroom over a period of TWO WEEKS not two days. Procedures & contact tracing must follow the same process as if the positive case were in The Dail. Currently the goal posts for close contacts has been moved countless times for schools. 7. Routine COVID19 testing for school staff. 8. Random mass testing of all kids in a classroom on a weekly basis with Positive figures published to the public.87 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Teachers & Kids Lives Matter

Tax Super-Size Cars in IrelandImage Data Source: International Energy Agency Scientists estimate that if SUVs were a country they would be the 5th most polluting country on planet earth. Ireland has the highest rate of SUVs in Europe and that number has continued rising every year since 2017. We propose a progressive surcharge on the sales price of newly registered (non-commercial) heavy vehicles e.g Range Rovers, similar to the "Malus Masse" weight tax levied in France with the purpose of reducing their quantity, cutting road deaths, reducing our energy usage/carbon footprint and freeing up road-space for children to play and for better air quality and public transit for all. Proposed Surcharge Tiers: • Petrol/Diesel Vehicles: • Threshold: Over 1,700 kg curb weight. (Hyundai Tucson averages around 1650 kg) • Surcharge: €15 per additional kilogram. • Hybrid (HEV) and Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) Vehicles: • Threshold: Over 1,800 kg curb weight. • Surcharge: €10 per additional kilogram. • Fully Electric Vehicles (BEV): • Threshold: Over 1,900 kg curb weight (A higher threshold to account for necessary battery weight, lower emissions vehicle). • Surcharge: €5 per additional kilogram (The lowest rate to encourage the switch to electric, still a charge to account for energy/manufacturing footprint).
