Knocknacarra to Parkmore Express Bus
We need the establishment of an express Knockancarra to Parkmore via Ballybrit bus. This is especially vital for the people of Knockancarra and suburbs of western Galway City who have to commute through the city every day.
All buses bar the 405 and 404(which dose not serve business districts) terminate in Eyre Square. This is causing an influx of unnecessary commuters within the city centre, who have to get off in Eyre Square and change to other buses .
I propose that we have a regular non-stop bus service every 15 minutes between Knocknacarra and Parkmore via the Headford Road and the Hewlett-Packard campus in Galway .
I believe this service could be extended out to the old galway airport to be used as a prime park and ride facility for the city.

Why is this important?
Right now Galway's transport infrastructure is about to crumble. Galway has one of the worst traffic congestion problems in Ireland. We need to come up with radical, sensible plans to reduce the number of cars on Galway's roads .
How it will be delivered
I plan to hold a meet with all transport stake holders in Galway to see if an agreement can be arranged as to who would run the bus service. Furthermore, I would call for backing from business leaders in Parkmore and Ballybrit who I believe would be in favour of a new cross city express bus service.
Lastly upon granting of a licence I would work hard to publicise the service to make sure it's a success.
