  • Stop data centres being built.
That there is an immediate threat to Ireland's energy supply, i.e. electricity and water , as outlined by Eirgrid due to the usage of energy by these huge centres throughout Ireland. It is estimated that these centres will be using a third of our energy supplies in the next four or five years. But the threat is more urgent as Eirgrid has reported that it expects electricity supply cuts this Winter and are purchasing 6 generators to try and deal with this predicted surge in supply. Not only will our services given by hospitals, schools, businesses etc be affected but, more worrying, it will also impact on individuals relying on a steady electricity supply and that includes sick people who cannot survive with uninterrupted service and also the many thousands of workers operating from home. The implications of regular power outages will have a devastating impact on civil and private society and will deter any businesses other than the ever powerful digital industries from investing in this country. This happened in California's Silicon valley where there was a mass exodus due to the irregularity of their power supplies due to overusage and exploitation of resources which is why they relocated to Ireland and we are about to become the latest victim of this industries' power grab, literally.

  • No Going Back - We Want an All Ireland National Health Service!
We call for temporary public control over private hospitals to be extended to bring them into permanent, public ownership. This would lay the foundation of an All-Ireland National Health Service free at the point of delivery and fit for the health needs of our population in the 21st century. The campaign for an All-Ireland National Health Service is based upon the following principles: o All hospitals under public control o Increased pay and an enhanced career structure for nurses and all health and social care workers. o For publicly funded Primary Care that includes mental health support, physiotherapy, speech therapy etc. o For an integrated Health and Social Care service o The establishment of a state pharmaceutical company to manufacture essential medicines at low cost. o The exclusion of private practice and fees from public hospitals After this crisis, there are likely to be others. There will also be a backlog of untreated patients which will put even greater strain on our health services, North and South. In this situation the creation of an All Ireland National Health Service is more urgent than ever. Post Covid-19 there can be no going back.

  • Investigate Data Collection on Autistic People
After RTE 'Primetime' exposed the deliberate non-consensual sharing of detailed and sensitive information of approximately 48 autistic children and their families by their doctors, social workers, counsellors, consultants, and staff with the Dept. of Health and Dept. of Education. We ask a number of actions to be taken: 1. That the affected families are fully informed. Many of these children are now adults; they and their families must be contacted to be informed that their private information has been shared without their consent. 2.That autistic children have equitable access to appropriate education and that their right to privacy and dignity is given due respect. 3.That public trust is restored by the commissioning of a transparent, independent investigation.

  • Tax break for overtime for all HCW
Lower the tax bracket to give all HCWs,includin  section 39 agency workers,an incentive to work overtime to help clear waiting lists. Tax is so high overtime means paying the amount in tax of a  shift. So basically you are volunteering to work a shift. Alot of HCW work 12 or 13 hours shifts.  Which can mean getting up at 6am and not getting home until after 9 or 10pm. Time away from our families is  precious.

  • Education for All
We are urging both ministers Simon Harris and Dianne Dodds to begin the process of reforming the funding of Higher Education across the island of Ireland. We need a publicly funded system that is accessible and adequately funded. We do not need the highest fees in the EU at 3,000 euros in the republic or a loan scheme system that levels students with debt at the start of their working life as is place in the North.
