Petition for Animal Welfare in IrelandI would like them to enforce mandatory microchipping of all animals considered as pets as well as spaying/neutering of animals (see text below for full info), provision funding for animal rescues, as well as prosecution of pet thieves. Effectively all people found not to be complying with the new regulations should be impact-fully fined and/or face jail time/community service. I would like to see more thorough Investigations conducted into breaches of Animal Welfare, more enforcement of the various legislation & harsher penalties & sentences for those convicted of offences.722 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Valentina Moran

No new fossil fueled data centresMoratorium on new data centres, and on expansion of existing data centres, until they can meet the following conditions: * No new fossil fuel burning infrastructure should be installed to power data centres, either on or off site, either owned and operated by the data centre owner/operator or otherwise * Data centres should be required to invest in renewable energy generation either on-site, or close by, on the grid it is connected to, and locate in places where it is feasible to generate sufficient energy from renewables. * Data centres should be required to consume grid electricity at times when there is plentiful wind or other renewable energy on the grid relative to demand, and not at other times, through investment in energy storage. * Data centres should not be allowed to run “mining” of bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, which consume huge energy resources and have been banned in some jurisdictions already. * Data centres should be required to transparently report on the types of services they provide to different sectors for different purposes, and in the event of power shortages, be capable of rationing data centre services which are non-essential to society without shutting down essential services58 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Elaine Baker

Save the Atlantic Bar and Lounge in PortrushIn the past the proposal of a 3-5 storey hotel on the site of the current Atlantic Lounge and Bar site received 127 objections from the public and only 18 notifications of support. Portrush has a rich history of music and bands, the Atlantic Bar and Lounge is a popular venue for locals and tourists. Culture and the arts should be promoted and encouraged. The council should consider the long term future of the Portrush community, instead of accepting all tourism development.2,647 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Amy Merron

Give an Irish welcome to Palestinians. Expand the Community Sponsorship Ireland scheme. At present the Community Sponsorship Ireland scheme is restricted to Syrian and Afghani refugees. The government should expand this scheme to include Palestinians. This will allow communities to provide accommodation and suitable support for Palestinian families. Ireland should be willing to offer hope to people undergoing a genocide. In Corca Dhuibhne, the Dingle peninsula, County Kerry, we have connections to two families whose words we share below and we would love to welcome them under the Community Sponsorship Ireland scheme. We know that many other Irish communities would also like to welcome Palestinians. Please help us pressure the government and sign this petition. Keep reading to hear about our brothers and sisters in Gaza.1,679 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Paul Harnett
