The Dáil has passed laws to increase the remuneration of three 'super junior' ministers who will now be entitled to an allowance of €16,000 for sitting at Cabinet, on top of their €124,000 salary for serving as Minister of State. Fianna Fáil's Jack Chambers, who is chief whip, Fine Gael's Hildegarde Naughton, Minister of State for Roads, and Green Party Senator Pippa Hackett, a junior minister in the Department of Agriculture, will be eligible for the allowance. We are calling on these three ministers not to accept this payment.

Provide proper replacement sports facilities before removing any existing ones These courts are vital for the physical and mental health of our community, especially our young people.

A Chara, Please halt any plans that may be in place to destroy Sonesta green with a resurfaced area and outdoor gym equipment. Sonesta green is just over 500m away from Malahide Demesne, which has all of the amenities planned, already built and installed on those grounds. A 7 minute walk. There is no need to put the extra equipment and unnecessary resurfacing on the green area in Sonesta. The green is used by so many people for so many reasons. Many of the older residents use it to get their exercise, the younger residents use it for relaxing and recreational games e.g. rounders, frisbee and many childrens games. Yoga and exercise classes are regularly seen taking place there. There are wildlife that use it for resting on as they pass, Black-tailed Godwit, Brent Geese among others. The green is amicably shared equally among all nearby residents as things stand. Adding these unnecessary and mostly unwanted (from talking to a lot of people in the area) would cause an uneven balance for them. Before anything goes ahead, I would urge you to speak with the residents in the estates and areas around it and find out their opinions.

We, the undersigned, call on Galway City Councillors to oppose The Proposed Variation to the Galway City Development Plan 2017-2023 Please listen to the local residents and reject the proposed junction plan. We call on the engineers to look at the bigger traffic picture, not just the junction in isolation, and they will see that there are better options. We are not opposed to signalisation of the junction, but this design does not meet the city's needs.

For over a decade now the Player Wills’ site on the South Circular Road has laid vacant. The site has been passed into the hands of NAMA with Grant Thornton appointed as receivers. This site has the potential to have develop over 500 affordable homes with appropriate community facilities, in order to develop a sustainable community for decades to come. The Minister for Housing should intervene to stop this land being transferred to a private equity firm and develop the site as cost rental and affordable housing to ensure that the housing needs of our citizens is met.

Cars valued at or exceeding £40,000 are subject to the Luxury Car Tax (£1600 over 5 years). This should be abolished for EVs as it impedes numerous Government initiatives and targets for transport and emissions. A tax refund should be available for those who paid the tax from at least 2019 onwards.

We are proposing a surchage of €15 per additional kilogram to the retail price of a new non-commercial car whose curb weight is over 1700kg.
