Ensure the survival of Ireland's only Wildlife Rehabilitation and Teaching Veterinary Hospital
Why is this important?
The Wildlife Rehabilitation and Teaching Veterinary Hospital in Co. Meath is being forced to shut up shop and deny care to wildlife in need.
It treats hedgehogs, birds, otters, foxes, and lovely badgers. Most of the animals treated in this hospital are injured due to human activity — road accidents, poisoning, shootings, habitat destruction, and litter.
We're calling on Minister Charlie McConalogue and this Government to help get the Rehabilitation & Teaching Hospital back on track.
There is no point in declaring a climate emergency and then not ignoring the needs of native wildlife in this country.
