Kilkenny Needs Fountains and Wells
Kilkenny has many historic fountains that have fallen into disrepair we should restore the fountains we have and put in new water fountains so the community can benefit from our rich history and be provided with a healthy, affordable and environmentally sustainable alternative to buying drinks from shops.
Why is this important?
We want to prevent millions of single-use plastic water bottles from being used.
Summers are getting warmer, climate change
Families' budgets are getting tighter, they shouldn’t be made to buy water as the cost of living increases.
Let’s remove the convenience factor of buying single use plastic bottles.
If water is freely available, people will buy less sugary drinks
