Eoghan Murphy, Don't let people be evicted into homelessness

It seems simple - nobody should be evicted into homelessness - right?

But, evictions by big banks, landlords and vulture funds are on the rise across the country. Just last week, we saw an elderly family pulled from their home because they owed money to KBC.

The Government could easily fix this; they could pass a common sense law that stops people from being evicted into homelessness but they’ve voted proposals down more than once.

Why is this important?

It’s time the Government stepped up and recognised that having a home is more important than rich institutions and people making huge profits off the back of the housing crisis. But, they need to know that there is massive public pressure calling on them to act now.
