Stop privatisation of Dublin's bus routes

Ms. Graham do not enable the privatisation and splitting up of Dublin city bus operations.

Why is this important?

This kind of privatisation has been tried in many cities across Europe and beyond and it always results in sub-standard services or higher prices for those whose transport needs lie on unprofitable routes. As an economist I implore Ms. Graham to rethink this plan. Improve Dublin Bus instead.

I sent the list of more than 1900 signatures in to the CEO of the National Transport Authority, I received no confirmation of receipt and no reply. Since then the contract was formally signed and the board of the NTA have met (minutes: https://www.nationaltransport.ie/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Agreed_Minutes_of_April_2018_Board_Meeting.pdf ) and we can see on page 2 that a board member inquired about disability access on Go-Ahead buses and nothing else! There was also no mention of the 2000 signatures by the CEO. Accountability my arse!

Non-centrist parties are calling foul of privatisation but the media has moved on and simply considers this a "faît acompli". Let's show them that this is not the case. Some media has not been quite so defeatist: example: http://www.breakingnews.ie/ireland/latest-nbru-warns-govt-about-privatising-more-dublin-bus-routes-801492.html
