A full investigation into all matters concerning Mother and Baby Homes, County Homes, and Agencies dealing with historical domestic adoption, including TUSLA and the Adoption Authority of Ireland.
Why is this important?
The Commission of Inquiry into Mother and Baby Homes and Certain Related Matters let survivors down. It had a limited remit which only included specific homes and County Homes, not everybody affected by these past wrongs.
The Commission discounted the evidence given by hundreds of survivors to the Confidential Committee.
We need to do better by survivors, adoptees and birth parents.
Survivors need answers.
