Simon Harris Resignation

Justice for Harvey , Harvey Morrison Sherratt — a nine-year-old boy who spent years awaiting scoliosis surgery before his death —He died on July 29 after a short illness and years of pain during which he struggled to breath. His heartbroken parents Gillian and Stephen announced Harvey’s death saying “our little rockstar Harvey passed away in the arms of mum and dad.”
“In his short life Harvey faced more challenges than most, and was the bravest, strongest and most courageous boy. To know him was to love him, and he definitely left his mark on this world.”
Harvey’s parents also highlighted on X that “On September 18 Simon Harris promised to meet with myself and Stephen to discuss Harvey’s lack of care. 10 months on and that meeting never happened and now Harvey is gone.
“On the day we were celebrating Harvey’s short life and saying final goodbyes, he was posting selfies at his brother’s wedding. The same brother that supposedly is the reason Harris sees disability issues as a ‘top priority. In actual fact, he doesn’t care at all. Couldn’t even take the time to meet us when we were begging for help. We will never have another moment of peace, and we endeavour to ensure that anyone that failed Harvey doesn’t either.”
In February 2024, a heartbreaking video of Harvey struggling to breathe due to the curve on his spine was widely shared on social media.

Why is this important?
Our health service is failing.
WE also need investment in hospital services and decent pay for those working within them, this includes nurses (who are the footsoldiers of the HSE and we should do all we can to retain the Irish talent and not export it, as it stands nurses can't afford to pay rent, food and travel to and from work on what they are paid, we should give them a salary that would ensure they want to stay, work and live here in Ireland).
Simon Harris needs to go. He has no interest in any of the above. He has been nothing but arrogant and in denial. If he won't listen he should go and not get a pension for all of his failures.
Simon Harris should resign and be denied a Ministerial Pension. Firstly
1. Hospital trolley crises
2. Near on one million people on waiting lists to see consultants
3. Cervical smear scandals
4. Children's Hospital overspend
5. Disrespecting the health service and the people who work in it and for it by not providing the support and attention they need to carry out a service to the Irish community.
6. One nurse to 11 patients is not good enough, it is neither safe nor comfortable to work in this way.
7. His party FGs funding of an EU Army.
8. His party FGs increasing of VAT on health supplements will only make more people ill.
