Mayo's beaches are used all year round, but the public toilets at the beaches are closed for half the year, from October until May. We're asking Mayo County Council to keep the beach toilets open all year round.

We are calling on Minister Peter Weir from the Department of Education to bring NI in line with the rest of the UK and finally provide free period products in all school toilets, to alleviate the issue of period poverty and to meet the menstrual needs of all school girls.

Our Request: 1. Partner with certified halal suppliers to introduce a range of halal meat and poultry options in your stores. 2. Ensure that these products are priced competitively to make them accessible to all. 3. Promote these halal offerings to raise awareness and serve the needs of a diverse customer base. We believe that by addressing this issue, retailers can not only support the well-being of the Muslim community but also demonstrate their commitment to serving Ireland’s multicultural society. This development proposes to build 3 Mews type houses on the grounds of the existing Kinsealy House with road access to be built through to Newpark Grove thus eating into  existing recreational space, reducing safety for residents by bringing more cars, and negatively impacting existing cycleways by cutting across into public space .

We call on the Government of Ireland to pay a permanent, unconditional Universal Basic Income (UBI) of at least €203 per week to all legal residents between 18 and state pension age, starting as quickly as possible. This will replace jobseekers' benefits – currently €203 per week – and the UBI amount in other benefits, such as the Covid-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payment and enhanced Illness Benefit. This is one essential part of the measures urgently needed to help our society and economy cope with and eventually recover from the crisis.
