Restore 24/7 Rapid Response Vehicle in County Roscommon

On the closure of Roscommon A&E in 2011, the people of Roscommon were promised a 24/7 Rapid Response Vehicle (RRV) staffed 24/7 by an Advanced Paramedic. This is no longer in place. In fact, every Monday night (8pm-8am) the RRV is parked up. This is unacceptable and unsafe. We, the people of County Roscommon demand the restoration of the RRV on a 24/7 basis in our County covered 24/7 by an Advanced Paramedic - as was promised by Fine Gael & the HSE.

Why is this important?

The Rapid Response Vehicle (RRV) saves lives. An Advanced Paramedic should be on the RRV 24/7 - that was the promise made to the people of Roscommon. They are the ONLY personnel in the National Ambulance Service who can provide advanced life support. We need this critical service.
