Replace The Leaving Cert With A Fairer System
I want people to sign this petition to replace the Leaving Cert with a system that focuses on the strengths of students. I want a new system to prepare students more for college and employment and not place a focus anymore on exams that are practically memory tests. I want students to be given opportunities to either choose their best 3 subjects to prepare them for third level or allow them to prepare for after school employment.
Why is this important?
This is important to demonstrate to the government that young people want a reformed system and not the same traditional Leaving Cert system that has existed for decades. Give students the opportunity to explore their strengths and widen access to third level education based on the students that work, the hardest, not based on exam results.
