Open letter to Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya: We remember you ❤️

Dear Dr. Abu Safiya,
We're writing to let you know that we have not forgotten you; not by a long shot. Your capture and subsequent imprisonment has horrified us all; not just your fellow health care workers, but the global general public. Please know that there are many ongoing campaigns for your immediate release.
Your bravery is unmatched. You put your patient's health and safety before your own at every turn. You were the last to leave Kamal Adwan Hospital and the image of you, walking towards an IOF tank, wearing your white coat, is forever burned into our collective memories.
We hope that you will get word of this letter and that it gives you some hope. We hope you know that Ibrahim is in our thoughts too, as well as the rest of your family. We will keep fighting for your unconditional release and justice for your captors.
Your friends around the world ❤️🇵🇸

Why is this important?
Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya served as director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza, until his unlawful arrest and has been arbitrarily imprisoned by the Israeli Occupation Forces for over six months. During a recent visit with his lawyer, Gheed Kassam, he asked "Does anyone remember me?". I was incredibly moved by this question and it prompted me to make this petition; we need to let this brave man know that, not only do we remember him, but we're fighting for his release.
