Let Linda Kelly Turn On The Christmas Lights
Linda Kelly, made a once in a lifetime achievement. Linda won a gold medal at the Paralympics and was snubbed to have the honour of turning on the Christmas lights. Linda is the obvious choice and a lot of people in New Ross have suggested for her to be one to turn on the lights. Linda did not even receive a call about this, after making such an unbelievable achievement.
No disrespect whatsoever to the person who is turning them on, but just because a general election is around the corner, it is NOT FAIR to snub a young woman for achieving something the majority of people can only dream of. I want to clarify this is NOTHING personal to the person turning them on.

Why is this important?
A once in a lifetime achievement, recognition should be rewarded with this small reward in her hometown.
