Keep Whitestrand Public Toilets Open All Year Round
Whitestrand beach, with its sheltered bay and stunning cliff-walk, is one of the safest and most popular beaches in this area of Clare. It attracts thousands of swimmers, walkers and visitors from within Clare and surrounding counties, and even international visitors all throughout the year.
Despite this, the public toilets are only opened from May-Sept. This is not sufficient for a publicly funded building.
Access to public toilets all year round is essential for locals and visitors, and especially for families and older people. We are asking Clare County Council to keep the toilets open all year-round to allow people to comfortably visit this beautiful amenity without having to worry about the current lack of services available to them.
