Protect children coping with domestic violence

Change the law so that the safety of children is guaranteed before violent partners are given access to them. No child should be taken from the safety of their home and put at risk.
Parental rights are now coming before children's safety. Children should not be used to further abuse women who have been subjected to domestic violence.

Why is this important?

Childrens safety should be paramount in situations of domestic abuse. Studies show that 40 - 60% of men that abuse women also abuse their children. Irish law needs to change to protect children and prevent abusive parents from having access.
