Bus Shelters for Estuary Road in Seabury, Malahide

We would like Dublin Bus to build bus shelters on the Estuary Road, Malahide at Stop 4339 and Stop 3641.

Why is this important?

The Seabury Estate is over 35 years old and there has never been a bus shelter at either Stop 4339 or Stop 3641. The existing bus stops are very exposed, with nowhere nearby to sit or to shelter from the elements.

These stops are used by a wide variety of people, including older people, the disabled, wheelchair users, parents with buggies and young children, school kids and everyday commuters.

Dublin Bus will consider building bus shelters if enough people sign this petition.

Fingal County Council are installing an old-style water pump at stop 3641 and within the next two weeks, they'll be making a bench here too! Thanks to everyone for your support in making this happen. Meanwhile, we are still campaigning to get a bus shelter built here, with the help of local politician Daire O'Brien.

Great news! Fingal County Council said that they are going to put in benches at these stops and that should be happening within the next 6 weeks.

The National Transport Authority will be reviewing these locations for full bus shelters at a future date as part of a wider Dublin Bus plan for Dublin. Our local councillor Anthony Lavin will be getting in touch with them on our behalf.

Thanks to everyone for your continued support! Be sure to send our petition onto friends and family so we can get as many signatures as possible to strengthen our cause.

141 signatures and counting! Thanks to everyone for who has signed so far. Here's an update on our progress:
1. We contacted the National Transport Authority and they said they'll keep us updated on scheduled plans for bus shelters in the local area as they arise.
2. We contacted BusConnects (https://busconnects.ie/) and they said that they will include us in their consultation for improvements to the local service, which will be happening soon.
3. We have the support of our local councillor Mr. Anthony Lavin, who will be meeting with local councillors in March. He will chat to them about the upgrade of Stop 4339 and Stop 3641 to bus shelters.
4. We've been in touch with Fingal County Council to request benches at each of the bus stops as a temporary measure before shelters are built.

We will keep you up to date on our progress and thanks so much for your continued support.

We have over 100 signatures! Thanks so much to everyone who signed this petition. We now have the backing of a local councillor. Today we contacted Dublin Bus and they have directed our query to the Dublin Transport Authority. A case number will be assigned soon.
