Every year in Ireland, thousands of students are required to undertake compulsory work placements as part of their degrees and course.
But although they work long days and incur the expenses of work - like clothing and travel - as part of these placements, many of them are unpaid.
We are calling upon the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Simon Harris, to ban unpaid work placements for students and make sure everyone is paid for the work they do.
Why is this important?
Because people deserve to be paid for the work they do.
