Unbanning Pinterest on iPads at CP Fola
Dear Principal/IT Department/School Administration,
We, the undersigned students of Coláiste Pobail Fóla, are respectfully requesting that Pinterest be unblocked on school iPads. We believe that Pinterest is a valuable educational tool that can support our learning, creativity, and research across many subjects.
Pinterest provides access to a wide variety of visual resources, including study guides, project ideas, infographics, and creative inspiration. Many teachers already encourage students to use visual aids to support their learning, and Pinterest offers a safe and organized platform to do so. Having access would help us explore new ideas for school projects, presentations, and assignments in subjects like art, design, home economics, science, and even history.
We understand the need to ensure technology is used responsibly. We are committed to using Pinterest only for educational and creative purposes, and we ask that the school consider unblocking the site to support our studies.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
the students of Coláiste Pobail Fóla

Why is this important?
We, the students of Coláiste Pobail Fóla, believe that Pinterest should not be banned from school iPads. While it was presumably blocked because one student misused the messaging feature, the majority of us use Pinterest responsibly for educational and creative purposes. Pinterest is an excellent resource for inspiration, study aids, project ideas, and visual learning across many subjects. It is unfair for all students to lose access to a helpful tool due to the actions of a single person. We respectfully ask that Pinterest be unblocked so it can continue to support our learning and creativity in a positive way.
