Suspend Double Yellow Fines During Pick up and Drop off
Parents collecting children from schools in Malahide have been ticketed in the last weeks by Fingal CoCo parking stewards (apparently trainees)
Common Sense community friendly suggestion: There should be specific times of the day (drop off 8:15 - 9, first collection 1 - 3pm to cover both 1:30 and 2:30 pick up times.
The schools are huge, in small village settings. Fingal County Council can take action so that families with children in local schools aren't penalised.
A steward today ticketed a car with the driver in the driving seat, though it was brought to his attention, he didn't have the good grace to offer the driver the chance to move.
It is anti- community.

Families with kids in school who can be there to collect their children should be facilitated. The amount of stress created for children waiting for parents who are desperately looking for parking spaces is completely avoidable. These kinds of actions create unnecessary stress and anger.
Common sense has to prevail. Stand down double yellow fines at drop off and pick up at Malahide Primary Schools. Sign now and give Fingal the summer to put community minded plans in place.
