This petition is to insist that the government puts the decision on the removal of the triple lock to the people of Ireland to decide.

Failing that, the request is to the President of Ireland, as the highest representative for this countries citizens, to refuse to sign and invoke a referendum automatically.

Why is this important?

Removal of this will impact the countries neutrality and will make us vulnerable to bad actor countries that want to establish a military presence in Western Europe.

Saying publicly that it won't does not hold credibility - unless full, concrete, and deployed legislation that is fully signed by all 193 UN member states acknowledging our full and total neutrality.
