Rathasker Lane/South Ring Road maintenance and pedestrian crossing
The residents of Rathasker Lane, Naas, whom have signed this petition, are looking for Kildare County Council to put in place a Pedestrian or Traffic light crossing where Rathasker Road (adjacent to the new residential development of Rathasker Lane) meets South Ring Road, opposite the dedicated laneway which runs alongside Whitehorn Village estate.
This is to facilitate a much needed safe and sensible crossing for the general population living in the area. The current lack of any safe crossing for pedestrians or indeed vehicles to exit is creating the conditions for a serious accident to occur and conditions which we consider a matter of public safety and sensible local planning.
