Keep Our National Games Free-to-Air: Move Kerry v Donegal to Terrestrial TV

Title: Keep Our National Games Free-to-Air: Move Kerry v Donegal to Terrestrial TV
Description / Reasons for Signing:
The GAA is our national heritage, not a luxury subscription service. On May 23rd, one of the biggest games of the year—a repeat of the League Final between Kerry and Donegal—will be hidden behind a paywall on GAA+. This is a step too far.

Why is this important?

We are starting this petition because:

  • The Elderly & Isolated: Many of our most dedicated fans, especially the elderly in rural Ireland, don't have the high-speed broadband or the technical knowledge to use streaming apps. They are being unfairly excluded.

  • Cost of Living: In the middle of a cost-of-living crisis, asking fans to pay a subscription to watch a major Championship game is an unnecessary burden on families and young supporters.

  • National Interest: A clash between the League Champions and the Kingdom is a matter of national sporting interest and should be available on RTÉ or TG4.
