Bring Back "Claws of the Mummies" and "Ghosties" Crisps!

We, the undersigned, are calling on the makers of some of Ireland's most iconic snacks to bring back two of the most missed crisps from our childhoods: Claws of the Mummies and Ghosties.

These unforgettable snacks were staples in school lunches and corner shops across Ireland, especially during the 1990s and early 2000s. With their bold flavours (who could forget the mouth-burning spice of the Mummies?), playful shapes, and spooky packaging, they were more than just crisps — they were a cherished part of growing up.

Many of us still talk about them with nostalgia, and we believe there's a whole new generation who would fall in love with them just like we did. The successful return of Banshee Bones shows that there's a real appetite for classic Irish snacks — and these two deserve the same comeback.

Whether as a permanent item or a special Halloween edition, we urge the manufacturers (formerly Sam Spudz / Northern Snack Foods) or any relevant snack producers (Tayto, Largo Foods, KP Snacks, etc.) to bring back Claws of the Mummies and Ghosties.

Let’s make it happen — for the memories, for the flavour, and for the craic.

Sign the petition. Share the love. Bring them back.

Why is this important?

These snacks were a core part of growing up in Ireland, and many of us still miss them today. If you ever enjoyed Claws of the Mummies or Ghosties — or just love a good nostalgic throwback — sign this petition to help bring them back. The more support we show, the more likely the companies are to listen. Let’s make this happen!
