Protest the Monthly Meeting One Month Out from DCC Budget 2027
The Community Action Tenants Union (CATU) are going to protest at City Hall this Monday from 5:30 before the Monthly meeting of the Council.
With recent wins in the DCC Housing Policy Committee and four out of five Area Committees passing motions calling for the reversal of rent hikes, we are ramping up and showing we can win! Last year's budget passed by just one vote and my amendment which would have reversed the hikes was defeated by just three votes. This November when Councillors vote on the 2027 Budget, we can win, but it will take more pressure from ordinary Dubliners.
