LNG Information Webinar

Join us on Tuesday 11 March at 1pm for an online information session about the governments proposed LNG terminal.
We will hear from Dr. Kathleen Nolan and Andy Gheorghiu.
Dr. Kathleen Nolan is a pediatrician, researcher, and environmental and public health advocate who has studied the health impacts of fracking for over a decade. She is President of the New York State chapter of Physicians for Social Responsibility, and is a co-author of the Compendium of Scientific, Medical, and Media Findings Demonstrating Risks and Harms of Fracking and Associated Gas and Oil Infrastructure, which presents findings from over 2,000 investigations into the adverse impacts of fracking and fracking infrastructure, including LNG terminals and transport.
Andy Gheorghiu works as a full-time freelance campaigner, consultant, and activist for climate and environmental protection. For over a decade he's been fighting against fracking and gas infrastructure in Europe and beyond. He supported Irish groups in their successful effort to achieve a national fracking ban and co-initiated the Irish anti-LNG campaign over 7 years ago. He is also the co-founder of the German Climate Alliance Against LNG and coordinator of the transatlantic anti-LNG network. For the recently published book "The Routledge Handbook of Grassroots Climate Activism" he co-authored the "No Greenwashing of Fossil Gas: Creating a Grassroots Transatlantic Climate Bridge Against False Solutions" chapter.
This webinar will give you some information and training on how you have your voice heard, showing you how to write into your local newspapers and radio stations to show our politicians that appeasing Trump shouldn't take precedence over the long-term health and wellbeing of our communities
We'll do our best to answer any questions you have about fracking, LNG, climate and energy security.
Register now, and we'll send you a link to join us on Zoom ahead of time on Tuesday.
